Technical fabrics and spunbond nonwovens

Flat and round polypropylene fabrics

Flat fabric

Polypropylene and polyethylene fabrics are produced in a wide range to meet various customer needs and requirements. The fabric is available in widths from 50 to 327 cm and weights from 55 to 350 g/m², allowing for versatile applications across different industries. The use of UV stabilization significantly increases the fabric's resistance to sunlight, extending its lifespan in outdoor applications.

Applications in mining

Flat and round polypropylene fabrics

In mining, flat polypropylene fabric plays a crucial role in constructing embankment dams, especially through hydraulic backfilling. Its durability and strength make it suitable for challenging environments, enhancing safety and efficiency in resource extraction and environmental protection.

Use in the furniture industry

In the furniture industry, flat polypropylene fabric serves as a support layer for nonwoven materials, significantly improving product strength and longevity. This material provides a stabilizing layer in upholstered furniture, increasing the durability of items such as sofas and chairs, and contributing to better structural integrity.

Construction applications

Polypropylene fabric has a wide range of uses in construction, particularly as a moisture-resistant layer in underfloor heating systems. It also protects scaffolding during construction and renovation work, providing weather protection. Additionally, it is used to produce ridge tapes that add stability and weather resistance to roofing systems.

Moisture barrier for underfloor heating

In underfloor heating systems, polypropylene fabric acts as an effective moisture barrier, preventing condensation and extending the system's life. This application is essential for maintaining consistent heating efficiency, contributing to energy savings and improved comfort in residential and commercial buildings.

Protection during construction

During construction and renovation projects, polypropylene fabric provides reliable protection for scaffolding and work surfaces. Its durability and resistance to weather ensure the safety of workers and equipment while preventing contamination of surrounding areas from dust or debris. This application is essential for keeping construction sites clean and efficient.

Agricultural applications

Flat polypropylene fabric is often used in agriculture to create protective covers and as packaging material for agricultural products. Its UV resistance and ability to withstand various weather conditions make it ideal for crop protection, supporting soil preservation, and covering silage to maintain food quality over extended periods.

Textile industry and bag production

In the textile industry, polypropylene fabric is a key material for producing shopping and travel bags, as well as various types of PP bags like Big Bags for packaging, transport, and storage of bulk goods. Its durability and lightweight properties make it an ideal choice for bags that must withstand heavy use while remaining easy to handle.

Big Bags for storage and transport

Big Bags made from polypropylene fabric are widely used in agriculture and construction for storing and transporting bulk materials. These bags have high load-bearing capacity and resistance to tearing and abrasion, making them reliable for handling sand, gravel, grain, and fertilizer. They also provide an economical solution for transporting bulk materials.

Environmental benefits of polypropylene fabric

Polypropylene fabric is recyclable and environmentally friendly, supporting sustainability across various industries. Its durability reduces the need for frequent replacement, minimizing waste and reducing environmental impact. This makes polypropylene an ideal material for applications that prioritize longevity and environmental responsibility.
