Low vapour-permeable films

ML 90, ML 100, ML 140 are vapour-permeable roof films used in inclined roof constructions as a multifunctional protection of the attic insulation under the roof cover.

Vapor-permeable films: multipurpose protection for roof construction

Low vapour-permeable films

Description of vapor-permeable films

Thanks to micro perforation, it is possible to release water vapor that enters the insulation from the external layers of the roof, simultaneously creating a barrier against dust, wind, and water from the outside. ML films are three-layered membranes, reinforced with polypropylene mesh, enabling them to possess exceptional tear resistance parameters. The ML type of films meets all the requirements of the European standard EN 13859-1:2005 and are marked with the CE symbol.

Advantages of vapor-permeable films

  • Enhanced microperforation tear resistance
  • Compliance with european standardsv
  • Commercial form and technical specifications

The commercial form of these films is in the form of a roll of 75 m2. The weight varies between 70 and 140 g/m2, while the width is typically 1.5 m.

Practical application

Vapor-permeable films ML 90, ML 100, and ML 140 are ideal as vapor-permeable roof films used for pitched roof constructions. Their multipurpose protection provides insulation for the attic beneath the roof covering, making them a key element in maintaining optimal conditions within the building.

Additional use

In addition to serving as protection for roof constructions, vapor-permeable films can also be used in other construction applications. For example, they can be used as an additional layer of insulation beneath flooring to create an additional barrier against moisture and cold.

Maintaining air quality

The quality of indoor air is crucial for the health and comfort of occupants. Vapor-permeable membranes help maintain the optimal level of humidity within rooms, preventing condensation and mold formation.

Material innovations

Continuous innovations in materials enable the development of even more efficient vapor-permeable membranes that can provide better protection and insulation, while simultaneously reducing the environmental footprint of construction projects.

With their characteristics of high microperforation, exceptional tear resistance, and compliance with standards, vapor-permeable membranes ML 90, ML 100, and ML 140 represent a reliable choice for any roof construction. Their functionality and efficiency make them essential material in construction, providing long-lasting protection and quality insulation.
