Spatex® casings are an innovative solution combined with exceptionally easy application. They enable transferring the fine- or coarse-grained spice coating onto your meat product.

Types of casings
Two major Spatex® groups:
- NCS – on the nonwoven SUBSTRATE
NCS type casings are designed for cooked and scalded products such as: pâtés, cooked hams and gelatin products. - VSC – ON VISCOSE SUBSTRATE
VSC type casings are designed for maturing products like salami. The base fabric properties provide perfect conditions for the maturing product.

Forms and sizes
- CASINGS
Single side clipped casings of a diameter from ø45 to ø160 mm and a length of 35 to 110 cm. Casings up to 50 cm have an inlet collar 10 cm long, whereas the casings longer than 50 cm have a collar of 15 cm. - SLEEVES
Sleeves up to 3 m and a caliber from ø65 mm to ø160 mm. Available only as Spatex® NCS (on nonwoven base). - SHEETS
Square or rectangular Spatex® NCS sheets (nonwoven) are available in sizes from 15 cm to 70 cm. - ROLLS
Spatex® NCS (nonwoven) rolls on carton tube, with the length from 5 to 30 m. Roll width can range from 30 to 50 cm.

Spatex casings are covered with aromatic spices, herbs and exceptional blends, which give your meat products a unique flavour, aroma and appearance.

Technological process
Instructions for use and technological notes:
- The casing is ready for use after removing it from its packaging (the casing should not be soaked before use)
- Put it on a stuffer’s funnel, fill it tightly and clip it
- Take care not to damage the surface of the spices during the filling process
- Recommended steaming at 78oC to 72oC at the centre of the bar
- In the case of mature products, treat according to accepted standards
- After thermal processing, cool steamed products with intermittent water shower, and handle maturing products according to the accepted rules
- After cooling, remove the outer fabric and transfer the product to the vacuum packing or MAP
